Our Mission

We view farm planning and operations as optimization problems spanning complex and intertwined domains, and offer science backed holistic solutions, from landscape to parcel, to meet profitability and sustainability goals.

Our Solutions

Our powerful and flexible platform allows the producer to exercise multiple yet relevant practices (variety, planting dates, variable tilling, irrigation, fertilizer, and residue schedules, crop rotation, fallow) while considering local variability (soil, and weather). The outcomes of these exercises are evaluated based on the goals of the individual producer, to deliver a customized production plan. During the season, adjustments to the plan are recommended based on observed changes in the environment and crop growth, to meet the goals.

Water Management

Water is a precious commodity. Use of groundwater for agriculture impacts sustainability. Our water management solution optimizes production output and water usage, to maximize productivity. For the producer, this reduces costs, trade water to improve profits, and reduces over pumping of groundwater, while maintaining output profit. Water agencies may use our solution for agricultural water demand management, and our platform to evaluate landscape specific actions.

Nutrient Management

USDA ranks fertilizer as the second most expensive input for US grain farmers. Overuse of fertilizer reduces soil health and increases GHG emissions and water pollution. Our nutrient management solution optimizes production output and nutrient usage, to maximize productivity. For the producer, this reduces costs, improves the environment and reduces pollution, while maintaining output profit. Seed companies may use our platform to economically evaluate the performance of their varieties in different soil profiles and fertilization applications, and augment their in-field trials.

Academics

The academic researcher can use our hybrid platform to expedite his/her research whether it be evaluation of agronomy practices for the near term or understand the long term impacts of traditional practices on climate change or impact of climate change on yield and device adaptation strategies. Farming consultants can use our platform to develop solutions specific to their producer cohort.

Our Platform - the Enabler of Our Solutions

Our platform is a modular, hybrid, cloud-based Cyber-Physical System. It comprises of dynamic and responsive crop simulation models (CSMs) and AI models to deliver near real time forecasts and recommendations at higher spatial resolutions and higher granularity within the application schedules. Our research community has benefited from It’s capabilities to seamlessly integrate with third-party data sources, consolidation of multi domain data, and customizable analysis engine, allowing them to expedite their project work.

Holos is transforming agricultural decision-making by providing precise, data-driven insights for organizations, and researchers. Holos accomplishes this through it’s ability to model at scale, rapidly processing thousands of hectares and decades of climate data.
